Great Resources: HeinOnline – European Centre for Minority Issues

This thirtieth installment continues our series on HeinOnline’s digital collections.

heinonline-logoBased in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) is an independent and interdisciplinary institution that conducts practice and policy-oriented research, provides information and documentation, and offers advisory services concerning minority-majority relations in Europe.  Since its inception in 1996, the ECMI has regularly published reports and working papers in five main areas (Citizenship & Ethics, Culture & Diversity, Conflicts & Security, Politics & Civil Society, and Justice & Governance) as well as the Journal on Ethnopolitics and Minority Issues in Europe.  These ECMI documents and publications are a valuable resource for anyone researching European majority-minority relations and non-dominant group issues.

Through special arrangement, HeinOnline provides access to the ECMI’s Reports and Working Papers, the Journal on Ethnopolitics and Minority Issues in Europe and other ECMI publications.  While many of these resources are available on the ECMI website, on HeinOnline it is possible to search by keyword as well as by date, and it is also possible to search across all publications, or to search just the reports/working papers,  journal, or other specific publication.  This helps researchers find the needed document quickly and efficiently.
